The CubeSpace D2S2 plugin is a library of simulation models and scripts that extend the base functionality of the D2S2 simulator.
The CubeSpace plugin to the D2S2 simulator adds accurate simulation models for both Gen1 and Gen2 CubeProducts. This includes sensor models with realistic noise, and actuator models that output the torque generated by the CubeTorquers and CubeWheels. With these models, the user is able to perform evaluations of the ADCS system for various satellite configurations and orbits.
The simulation model for the CubeComputer executes the same source code that is used on the actual hardware to estimate and control satellite attitude. This allows for an accurate reference simulation without the need for hardware in the loop. It is, however, also possible to connect the simulator to the CubeComputer to perform a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation in parallel with the reference simulation.
