Details

Provides a detailed implementation of a satellite model. It allows components to be added and will calculate a detailed surface model from the included components. The visualisation for this model draws 2U CubeSat rails.

KinematicModel (Kinematic Model) This model provides the kinematic state (position, velocity, orientation and rotation rates) for the satellite over time
Components (Components) The list of components that are included in the satellite.

NominalAlignment (Nominal Alignment) The nominal alignment of the rails of the CubeSat.

Input Properties

Property Description
IncludeAeroDisturbance (Include Aero Disturbances) Sets whether aerodynamic disturbances on the satellite should be simulated.
IncludeSolarDisturbance (Include Solar Disturbances) Sets whether SRP disturbances on the satellite should be simulated.
IncludeGravityGradient (Include Gravity Gradient Torque) Sets whether gravity gradient torque should be simulated.
IncludeMoiDelta (Include Torque from Dynamic Mass Distribution) Sets whether the torque effects of dynamic mass distributions within the satellite should be simulated.
MassPropsAreTotal (Input Mass Properties Are Total) Whether the input satellite mass should override the sum of individual component masses.
MassInput (Mass) If 'Input Mass Properties Are Total' is true, this input property is the mass of the entire satellite. Otherwise it is the mass of the structure of the satellite that will get added to the components' mass. (kg)
MomentOfInertiaInput (Moment Of Inertia) The tensor representing the moments of inertia and products of intertia of the satellite.
CentreOfMassInput (Centre Of Mass) The center of mass of the satellite. (m)

MomentOfInertiaUnit (Moment of Inertia) The tensor representing the moments of inertia and products of intertia of the satellite.
CentreOfMassUnit (Center of Mass) The cenre of mass of the satellite.
KinematicState (Satellite Kinematic State) Satellite kinematic state
GravityGradientTorque (Gravity Gradient Torque) The torque vector experienced by the satellite due to gravity gradient.
AeroForce (Aerodynamic Force) The force vector experienced by the satellite due to the simulated aerodynamic disturbances.
SolarForce (Solar Force) The force vector experienced by the satellite due to the simulated SRP disturbances.
AeroTorque (Aerodynamic Torque) The torque vector experienced by the satellite due to the simulated aerodynamic disturbances.
SolarTorque (Solar Torque) The torque vector experienced by the satellite due to the simulated SRP disturbances.
Environment (Satellite Environment State) The environmental state of the simulated satellite.
